Dr. Emory McAllister graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at East Carolina University Dental School, where she was honored as a Dean’s Scholar for Excellence and graduated with honors. Furthering her expertise, she completed a prestigious residency in orthodontics at the University of Kentucky earning the Excellence in Clinical Care award.

Dr. Emory is thrilled to call Charleston home together with her husband (Will), a pediatric cardiology fellow at MUSC, and their dog (Jones). You might find her experimenting with new recipes, enjoying a hike, playing pickleball, or running the bridge.

Early Intervention
When should my child see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a check-up with an orthodontic specialist no later than age 7. Interceptive orthodontic treatment around this time can help Dr. Emory direct proper tooth positioning and/or jaw growth, eliminating or simplifying the need for later treatment. Early orthodontic evaluation will allow us to treat any underlying issues early and prevent any others from occurring. We want to give your child their best opportunity for a healthy, beautiful smile.
